TL Ponderings

Welcome to my TL learning journey.

As i have dabbled in the world of blogging before (trial runs – a couple set up for teachers at school and one or two for classes that had trouble getting off the ground due to in school technical issues) it seemed that i had an account with my three preferable (ie education based) blogging software sites. I spent some time looking at others – thoughts.com, vox, myjounal but didn’t like the major tags that kept showing up. As a result i have returned to wordpress with my non academic/work email, (though i feel more comfortable with this as opposed to the alternative).

It leaves me pondering about just how many blogs are out there – started up but ‘lost’ or neglected. I feel confident in saying that this is the beginning of a long and fruitful journey between my blog and i.

    Hi Sarah
I am very interested in setting up a blog at school, for the teachers (as a start). Can I ask how you set it up so that only staff in your school can access it? Obviously we don’t want the kids to access it.
    Thanks.

Hi Tracey, i put the blogs for the students on cenet pages where they click on the link and it took them to the blog. The first time the students had to log in but then that option didn’t come up again. I am still learning. To start though, i suggest you put the link to the blog on the staff intranet, where the students don’t have access. Hope that helps.
